Although, all I want to do is camp every weekend, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, it is impossible for us weekend warriors to find a camp site that isn't booked. A few weeks ago one of my best friends from college (originally from Seattle and currently living in Monterey) was down in Newport for a visit. She had never been to Bear before and I was longing for a little fresh air, so we booked a night at the Motel 6 and enjoyed a day in the mountains! Close enough to camping, right?
